- 2 (6-ounce) salmon fillets
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Lemon wedges (for serving)
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
- In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Place the salmon fillets skin-side down on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the olive oil mixture generously over the top of each fillet.
- In another small bowl, whisk together the Dijon mustard, honey, and lemon juice. Drizzle this mixture over the salmon fillets.
- Bake the salmon in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and is cooked to your desired doneness.
- Remove from the oven and let rest for a couple of minutes. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve with lemon wedges on the side.
Notes
- For a spicy kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the olive oil mixture.
- Serve the salmon over a bed of quinoa or alongside steamed vegetables for a complete meal.
