A delicious and fluffy vanilla cake that melts in your mouth, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with the milk. Begin and end with the flour mixture, mixing until just combined.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • For a chocolate version, substitute ½ cup of the flour with unsweetened cocoa powder.
  • Add 1 cup of fresh berries or chocolate chips to the batter for extra flavor and texture.
