Ingredients
Scale
1 can (16.5 oz) refrigerated cinnamon roll dough
6 slices cooked bacon, crumbled
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
1/4 cup maple syrup
1/4 cup chopped pecans (optional)
1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup powdered sugar
1 tablespoon milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar and ground cinnamon. Set aside.
Open the can of cinnamon roll dough and separate the rolls. Flatten each roll slightly and sprinkle about a teaspoon of the brown sugar mixture and crumbled bacon on top.
Roll each cinnamon roll back up tightly and place them in the greased baking dish.
Drizzle the maple syrup over the top of the rolls and sprinkle with any remaining brown sugar mixture and chopped pecans, if using.
Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
While the rolls are baking, prepare the icing by mixing the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract in a bowl until smooth.
Once the rolls are done baking, remove them from the oven and let them cool for about 5 minutes before drizzling the cream cheese icing on top.
Notes
For a richer flavor, use maple-flavored bacon.
Add a pinch of nutmeg to the brown sugar mixture for an extra layer of spice.
