Loaded Cheesy Pocket Tacos are a quick and mouthwatering recipe that combines seasoned ground beef with melted cheeses, all wrapped in crescent roll dough for a delicious pocket treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 can (8 ounces) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • ¼ cup sliced jalapeños (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat.
  3. Add garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper to the beef. Stir well to combine and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
  4. Remove the skillet from heat and mix in the cheddar and mozzarella cheeses until melted and well combined.
  5. Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles. Place the triangles on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, overlapping slightly to form a rectangle.
  6. Spoon the cheesy beef mixture onto the center of the dough rectangle.
  7. Fold the dough over the filling to create a pocket, sealing the edges with a fork.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Remove from the oven and let cool for 5 minutes. Serve topped with diced tomatoes, shredded lettuce, sour cream, and jalapeños if desired.

Notes

  • For a healthier option, substitute ground turkey or chicken for the beef.
  • Add black beans or corn to the beef mixture for extra flavor and texture.
