Ingredients
Scale
8 ounces lo mein noodles
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup sliced bell peppers (red, yellow, or green)
1 cup sliced carrots
1 cup snap peas
1 cup bean sprouts
3 green onions, chopped
3 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon oyster sauce (optional)
1 teaspoon sesame oil
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Cook the lo mein noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
Add the sliced bell peppers, carrots, and snap peas to the skillet. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
Stir in the cooked lo mein noodles, bean sprouts, and green onions.
Pour the soy sauce, oyster sauce (if using), and sesame oil over the noodle mixture. Toss everything together until well combined and heated through, about 2-3 minutes.
Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot.
Notes
For added protein, consider adding cooked chicken, shrimp, or tofu to the stir-fry.
Experiment with different vegetables like broccoli, mushrooms, or zucchini for a unique twist.
