Ingredients
Scale
1 pound thinly sliced ribeye steak
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 medium onion, thinly sliced
1 medium green bell pepper, thinly sliced
1 teaspoon garlic powder
Salt and pepper to taste
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 cup shredded provolone cheese
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
4 large lettuce leaves (romaine or iceberg)
Instructions
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
Add the sliced onion and green bell pepper, sautéing until they are softened, about 5-7 minutes. Season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Remove from skillet and set aside.
In the same skillet, add the ribeye steak and cook until browned and cooked through, about 3-5 minutes. Stir in the Worcestershire sauce and mix well.
In a bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and shredded provolone cheese. Mix until smooth.
To assemble, lay a lettuce leaf flat and spread a layer of the cream cheese mixture over it. Top with a portion of the cooked steak and sautéed vegetables. Roll the lettuce tightly around the filling and secure with a toothpick if needed.
Repeat with the remaining ingredients. Serve immediately, or chill for 30 minutes for a refreshing option.
Notes
For a spicier kick, add sliced jalapeños to the filling.
You can also substitute the ribeye with chicken or turkey for a different flavor profile.
