  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce (or coconut aminos for a soy-free option)
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined, then form into 4 equal patties.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the burger patties and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness. Remove the patties from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add sliced mushrooms and sauté for about 5 minutes, or until they are golden brown.
  4. Pour in the beef broth, heavy cream, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and dried thyme. Stir well and bring to a simmer. Let the gravy cook for about 3-4 minutes, or until it thickens slightly.
  5. Return the burger patties to the skillet, spooning the mushroom gravy over them. Cook for an additional 2 minutes to heat through.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
