Ingredients
Scale
2 pounds turkey cutlets
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 small onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup chicken broth
1/2 cup heavy cream
3 tablespoons Dijon mustard
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
Season the turkey cutlets with salt and black pepper on both sides.
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the turkey cutlets and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
In the same skillet, add the chopped onion and sauté for 3-4 minutes until softened. Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional 1 minute until fragrant.
Pour in the chicken broth, scraping the bottom of the skillet to deglaze. Bring to a simmer and let it cook for 2-3 minutes.
Reduce the heat to low and stir in the heavy cream and Dijon mustard. Mix well until combined and heated through.
Return the turkey cutlets to the skillet, spooning the sauce over them. Let them simmer in the sauce for an additional 2-3 minutes to absorb the flavors.
Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
For a lighter version, substitute the heavy cream with Greek yogurt or low-fat sour cream.
Add sautéed mushrooms or spinach to the sauce for extra flavor and nutrition.
