A delicious and spicy Hot Honey Salmon recipe that elevates your dinner with a perfect balance of sweetness and heat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 (6-ounce) salmon fillets
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it with cooking spray.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together honey, sriracha, apple cider vinegar, and soy sauce until well combined. Set aside.
  3. Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Place them on the prepared baking sheet, skin-side down.
  4. Drizzle olive oil over the salmon fillets and season with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika.
  5. Brush the hot honey mixture generously over the salmon fillets, reserving some for later.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
  7. In the last 2 minutes of baking, switch the oven to broil to caramelize the honey glaze. Keep a close eye to prevent burning.
  8. Remove from the oven and drizzle the reserved hot honey mixture over the salmon. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

  • For added crunch, sprinkle sesame seeds on top before serving.
  • Substitute the salmon with other fish like trout or chicken for a different flavor profile. Adjust cooking times accordingly.
