- 2 (6-ounce) salmon fillets
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 tablespoon sriracha (adjust to taste)
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it with cooking spray.
- In a small bowl, whisk together honey, sriracha, apple cider vinegar, and soy sauce until well combined. Set aside.
- Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Place them on the prepared baking sheet, skin-side down.
- Drizzle olive oil over the salmon fillets and season with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika.
- Brush the hot honey mixture generously over the salmon fillets, reserving some for later.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
- In the last 2 minutes of baking, switch the oven to broil to caramelize the honey glaze. Keep a close eye to prevent burning.
- Remove from the oven and drizzle the reserved hot honey mixture over the salmon. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
Notes
- For added crunch, sprinkle sesame seeds on top before serving.
- Substitute the salmon with other fish like trout or chicken for a different flavor profile. Adjust cooking times accordingly.
