Ingredients
Scale
4 salmon fillets (about 6 ounces each)
1/4 cup honey
1/4 cup soy sauce
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon sesame oil
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
Lemon wedges (for serving)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, olive oil, sesame oil, black pepper, and red pepper flakes until well combined.
Cut four pieces of aluminum foil, each large enough to wrap a salmon fillet. Place a salmon fillet in the center of each piece of foil.
Drizzle the honey garlic mixture evenly over each salmon fillet, ensuring they are well coated.
Fold the sides of the foil over the salmon, creating a sealed packet. Make sure it’s tightly sealed to keep the moisture in.
Place the foil packets on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.
Carefully open the foil packets (watch out for steam) and garnish with sliced green onions. Serve with lemon wedges on the side.
Notes
For added flavor, marinate the salmon in the honey garlic mixture for 30 minutes before baking.
Try adding vegetables like asparagus or bell peppers to the foil packets for a complete meal. Just toss them in the same honey garlic mixture before sealing.
