Ingredients
Scale
8 slices of sourdough bread
4 ounces of cream cheese, softened
4 ounces of sliced salami
4 ounces of sliced prosciutto
4 ounces of sliced sharp cheddar cheese
4 ounces of sliced brie cheese
1 cup of arugula
1/4 cup of fig jam
2 tablespoons of olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Preheat a large skillet or griddle over medium heat.
Spread a thin layer of cream cheese on one side of each slice of sourdough bread.
On four slices of bread, layer the salami, prosciutto, cheddar cheese, brie cheese, and arugula.
Spread a thin layer of fig jam on the other four slices of bread and place them jam-side down on top of the fillings to create sandwiches.
Brush the outside of each sandwich with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
Place the sandwiches in the preheated skillet or griddle. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
Remove from the skillet, slice in half, and serve warm.
Notes
For a spicy kick, add sliced jalapeños or a drizzle of hot honey inside the sandwich.
Substitute the meats and cheeses with your favorites, such as turkey, ham, goat cheese, or gouda, to customize the flavor profile.
