Gooey Mozzarella Biscuit Bombs are delicious, cheesy treats that are perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup cold unsalted butter, cubed
  • 3/4 cup whole milk
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
  • Cooking spray or additional butter for greasing

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F. Grease a baking sheet with cooking spray or butter.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Whisk together until well mixed.
  3. Add the cold, cubed butter to the flour mixture. Use a pastry cutter or your fingers to blend the butter into the flour until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Pour in the milk and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.
  5. Fold in the shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese, along with the chopped parsley if using.
  6. Using a spoon or your hands, scoop out about 2 tablespoons of the dough and form it into a ball. Place the balls on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown.
  8. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For a cheesy twist, try adding a small cube of mozzarella in the center of each biscuit bomb before sealing.
  • For a spicier version, mix in some crushed red pepper flakes or diced jalapeños into the dough.
