Ingredients
Scale
2 bone-in pork chops (about 1 inch thick)
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon minced garlic (about 3 cloves)
1/4 cup chicken broth
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon honey
1 teaspoon cornstarch
1 tablespoon water
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
Season both sides of the pork chops with salt and black pepper.
In a large oven-safe skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the pork chops and sear for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
Remove the pork chops from the skillet and set aside on a plate.
In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
Pour in the chicken broth, soy sauce, and honey. Stir to combine and bring to a simmer.
In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch and water to create a slurry. Add this to the skillet and stir until the sauce thickens, about 1-2 minutes.
Return the pork chops to the skillet, spooning some sauce over them.
Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the pork chops reaches 145°F (63°C).
Once cooked, remove from the oven and let the pork chops rest for 5 minutes. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
Notes
For a spicier kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the garlic sauce.
Serve the pork chops over rice or mashed potatoes to soak up the delicious sauce.
