Delicious and savory garlic sauce pork chops that are easy to prepare and perfect for dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 bone-in pork chops (about 1 inch thick)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic (about 3 cloves)
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Season both sides of the pork chops with salt and black pepper.
  3. In a large oven-safe skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the pork chops and sear for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  4. Remove the pork chops from the skillet and set aside on a plate.
  5. In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  6. Pour in the chicken broth, soy sauce, and honey. Stir to combine and bring to a simmer.
  7. In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch and water to create a slurry. Add this to the skillet and stir until the sauce thickens, about 1-2 minutes.
  8. Return the pork chops to the skillet, spooning some sauce over them.
  9. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the pork chops reaches 145°F (63°C).
  10. Once cooked, remove from the oven and let the pork chops rest for 5 minutes. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the garlic sauce.
  • Serve the pork chops over rice or mashed potatoes to soak up the delicious sauce.
