1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves (or ½ teaspoon dried thyme)
1 teaspoon fresh rosemary, chopped (or ½ teaspoon dried rosemary)
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice (optional)
Instructions
Season the pork chops generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the pork chops and sear for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they develop a golden-brown crust and reach an internal temperature of 145°F.
Reduce the heat to medium-low and add the butter, minced garlic, thyme, and rosemary to the skillet. As the butter melts, spoon the mixture over the pork chops for about 2-3 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
If desired, stir in the lemon juice for a bright finish.
Remove the pork chops from the skillet and let them rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Serve the pork chops with the garlic butter drizzled over the top.
Notes
For extra flavor, marinate the pork chops in olive oil, garlic, and herbs for at least 30 minutes before cooking.
You can substitute the pork chops with chicken breasts or steaks for a different protein option.
