A delicious recipe for Garlic Butter Pan Seared Pork Chops that are juicy and flavorful.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 bone-in pork chops (about 1 inch thick, 8 ounces each)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves (or ½ teaspoon dried thyme)
  • 1 teaspoon fresh rosemary, chopped (or ½ teaspoon dried rosemary)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice (optional)

Instructions

  1. Season the pork chops generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the pork chops and sear for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they develop a golden-brown crust and reach an internal temperature of 145°F.
  3. Reduce the heat to medium-low and add the butter, minced garlic, thyme, and rosemary to the skillet. As the butter melts, spoon the mixture over the pork chops for about 2-3 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
  4. If desired, stir in the lemon juice for a bright finish.
  5. Remove the pork chops from the skillet and let them rest for 5 minutes before serving.
  6. Serve the pork chops with the garlic butter drizzled over the top.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, marinate the pork chops in olive oil, garlic, and herbs for at least 30 minutes before cooking.
  • You can substitute the pork chops with chicken breasts or steaks for a different protein option.
