- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 packet (2 1/4 teaspoons) instant yeast
- 3/4 cup warm water (about 110°F)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup diced pepperoni
- 1/2 cup diced bell peppers (any color)
- 1/2 cup sliced black olives
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, salt, sugar, and instant yeast. Mix well.
- Gradually add the warm water and olive oil to the dry ingredients. Stir until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F.
- Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick.
- Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese, pepperoni, bell peppers, black olives, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning evenly over the dough.
- Starting from one long side, carefully roll the dough into a log shape. Pinch the seams to seal.
- Place the rolled dough seam-side down on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Beat the egg and brush it over the top of the dough for a golden finish.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
