A delicious and hearty casserole featuring hot dogs, chili, and a blend of cheeses, all wrapped in crescent roll dough.

Ingredients

  • 8 hot dogs, sliced
  • 1 can (15 ounces) chili (with or without beans)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 package (8 ounces) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 1/4 cup sliced jalapeños (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon mustard (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the sliced hot dogs, chili, diced onion, garlic powder, chili powder, and black pepper. Mix well.
  3. Unroll the crescent roll dough and lay it in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish, pressing it to cover the bottom and sides.
  4. Spread the hot dog and chili mixture evenly over the crescent roll dough.
  5. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheeses on top of the chili mixture.
  6. If desired, add sliced jalapeños on top of the cheese.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the crescent roll dough is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
  8. Allow to cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving. Drizzle with mustard if desired.

Notes

  • For a healthier twist, use turkey or chicken hot dogs and low-fat cheese.
  • Add your favorite toppings like diced tomatoes, sour cream, or chopped green onions for extra flavor.
