Ingredients
Scale
1 pound ground beef (or ground turkey)
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1/4 cup green onions, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon ginger, grated
1/4 cup soy sauce
1 tablespoon sesame oil
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 egg, beaten
1 tablespoon sesame seeds (optional)
1/2 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons Sriracha sauce (adjust to taste)
1 teaspoon lime juice
1 teaspoon honey (optional)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, green onions, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, brown sugar, black pepper, and beaten egg. Mix until just combined.
Form the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter, and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
If desired, sprinkle sesame seeds on top of each meatball.
Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until cooked through and browned.
While the meatballs are baking, prepare the spicy mayo dip by mixing mayonnaise, Sriracha, lime juice, and honey in a small bowl.
Once the meatballs are done, let them cool for a few minutes before serving with the spicy mayo dip on the side.
Notes
For a lighter option, substitute ground turkey or chicken for the beef.
Add finely chopped vegetables like bell peppers or carrots to the meatball mixture for extra flavor and nutrition.
For a fun twist, serve the meatballs in lettuce wraps instead of with the dip.
