Ingredients
Scale
1 pound sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
2 medium zucchinis, sliced into half-moons
4 tablespoons unsalted butter
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs (or fresh if available)
1 tablespoon olive oil
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish, optional)
Instructions
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the cubed steak and season with salt and black pepper. Sear the steak for about 3-4 minutes until browned, stirring occasionally. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.
In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and add the butter. Once melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
Add the sliced zucchini to the skillet and sprinkle with Italian herbs. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes until the zucchini is tender but still crisp.
Return the cooked steak to the skillet and toss everything together, cooking for an additional 2-3 minutes to heat through.
Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley if desired.
Notes
For added flavor, marinate the steak in a mixture of soy sauce and Worcestershire sauce for 30 minutes before cooking.
Substitute the zucchini with other vegetables like bell peppers or asparagus for a different twist.
