Ingredients
Scale
1 pound ground beef
1/2 pound ground pork
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 large egg
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Vegetable oil for frying
Instructions
In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, garlic, egg, salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning. Mix until well combined.
Shape the mixture into 1-inch meatballs and place them on a baking sheet.
Heat about 1 inch of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once the oil is hot (around 350°F), carefully add the meatballs in batches, making sure not to overcrowd the pan.
Fry the meatballs for about 5-7 minutes, turning occasionally until they are golden brown and cooked through. Use a meat thermometer to ensure they reach an internal temperature of 160°F.
Remove the meatballs from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
Notes
For a spicier kick, add 1/4 teaspoon of red pepper flakes to the meat mixture.
Serve the meatballs with marinara sauce and spaghetti for a classic Italian dish or use them in a meatball sub with melted cheese.
