Crispy Cabbage Patties are a delicious veggie treat made with finely shredded cabbage, carrots, and a blend of spices, perfect for a snack or appetizer.

  • 2 cups finely shredded cabbage
  • 1/2 cup grated carrots
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil (for frying)

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded cabbage, grated carrots, and chopped green onions. Mix well.
  2. Add the all-purpose flour, grated Parmesan cheese, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using) to the vegetable mixture. Stir until all ingredients are well combined.
  3. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  4. Once the oil is hot, scoop about 1/4 cup of the cabbage mixture and form it into a patty. Carefully place the patty in the skillet. Repeat with the remaining mixture, making sure not to overcrowd the pan.
  5. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and crispy.
  6. Remove the patties from the skillet and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to absorb excess oil.
  7. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce or enjoy them plain.

  • For a gluten-free option, substitute all-purpose flour with almond flour or gluten-free flour blend.
