Ingredients
Scale
2 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1 pound total)
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon paprika
Salt and pepper to taste
4 slices of cooked bacon, crumbled
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup ranch dressing
4 slices of sandwich bread (white or whole wheat)
2 tablespoons butter
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Season the chicken breasts with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the seasoned chicken for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked and no longer pink in the center. Remove from heat and let it rest for a few minutes.
Slice the cooked chicken into thin strips.
In a bowl, combine the sliced chicken, crumbled bacon, shredded cheddar cheese, and ranch dressing. Mix well.
Butter one side of each slice of bread. Place two slices, buttered side down, in a skillet over medium heat.
Spoon the chicken mixture evenly over the bread in the skillet. Top with the remaining slices of bread, buttered side up.
Cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
Remove from the skillet, slice in half, and serve warm.
Notes
For a spicy kick, add sliced jalapeños to the chicken mixture.
Try using different cheeses like pepper jack or mozzarella for a unique flavor twist.
