A delicious and easy-to-make dessert featuring crescent rolls and apple filling.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cans (8 oz each) refrigerated crescent rolls
  • 2 cups peeled and sliced apples (about 2 medium apples)
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • 1 tablespoon sugar (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9-inch pie pan or baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the sliced apples, granulated sugar, cinnamon, lemon juice, brown sugar, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Toss until the apples are well coated.
  3. Unroll one can of crescent rolls and lay the triangles in the bottom of the prepared pie pan, overlapping them slightly to cover the entire bottom.
  4. Pour the apple mixture over the crescent roll layer, spreading it evenly.
  5. Unroll the second can of crescent rolls and place the triangles over the apple filling, again overlapping slightly.
  6. In a small bowl, beat the egg and brush it over the top layer of crescent rolls. Sprinkle the tablespoon of sugar on top for added sweetness.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the crescent rolls are golden brown and the apples are tender.
  8. Allow to cool for about 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • For a caramel twist, drizzle caramel sauce over the top before serving.
  • You can also substitute the apples with pears or peaches for a different flavor.
