- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 pound breakfast sausage, cooked and crumbled
- 2 cups frozen hash browns, thawed
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup diced bell pepper (optional)
- 1/2 cup diced onion (optional)
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder until well combined.
- In the prepared baking dish, layer the thawed hash browns evenly across the bottom.
- Sprinkle the cooked sausage over the hash browns, followed by the diced bell pepper and onion if using.
- Pour the egg mixture evenly over the layers in the baking dish.
- Top with shredded cheddar cheese.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the casserole is set and the top is golden brown.
- Allow to cool for 5-10 minutes before slicing and serving.
