Cowboy Butter Steak Sliders are a delicious and flavorful dish featuring grilled flank steak topped with a rich cowboy butter spread, served on toasted slider buns with fresh toppings.

  • 1 pound flank steak
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 slider buns
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 medium tomato, sliced
  • 1/2 red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh chives, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Rub the flank steak with olive oil, then season generously with salt and pepper.
  3. Grill the steak for about 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, or until it reaches your desired doneness.
  4. Remove from heat and let it rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing thinly against the grain.
  5. While the steak is resting, prepare the cowboy butter by mixing softened butter, parsley, chives, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  6. Slice the slider buns in half and toast them lightly on the grill or in a toaster.
  7. Spread a generous amount of cowboy butter on the bottom half of each bun.
  8. Layer with sliced steak, shredded lettuce, tomato slices, and red onion.
  9. Top with the other half of the bun.
  10. Serve immediately while warm.
