- 2 cups cottage cheese
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder (optional)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Fresh herbs (such as chives or parsley) for garnish
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cottage cheese and egg. Mix until well blended.
- Add the flour, baking powder, salt, garlic powder, and onion powder to the bowl. Stir until a dough forms.
- Lightly flour a clean surface and turn the dough out onto it. Knead the dough gently for about 1 minute until it is smooth.
- Divide the dough into 4 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a flat circle about 1/4 inch thick.
- Place the flatbreads on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the tops with olive oil.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the flatbreads are golden brown and cooked through.
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Garnish with fresh herbs before serving.
Notes
- For a cheesy twist, add 1/2 cup shredded cheese (like mozzarella or cheddar) to the dough before baking.
- Experiment with different herbs and spices, such as oregano or Italian seasoning, to customize the flavor of your flatbread.
