Ingredients
Scale
1 pound raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup finely chopped green onions
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
4 hamburger buns
Lettuce leaves, for serving
Sliced tomatoes, for serving
Sliced avocado, for serving
Instructions
In a food processor, pulse the shrimp until coarsely chopped, leaving some chunks for texture.
In a large bowl, combine the chopped shrimp, breadcrumbs, mayonnaise, green onions, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper (if using). Mix until well combined.
Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into patties.
Preheat a grill or skillet over medium heat and lightly grease it with cooking spray or oil.
Cook the shrimp patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and cooked through.
Toast the hamburger buns on the grill or in a toaster until lightly golden.
Assemble the burgers by placing a shrimp patty on each bun, topped with lettuce, tomato, and avocado.
Notes
For added flavor, mix in chopped fresh herbs like cilantro or parsley.
Serve with a spicy remoulade or tartar sauce for extra zing.
