A delicious and festive salmon recipe perfect for Christmas celebrations.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds salmon fillet, skin on
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 lemon, sliced
  • Fresh dill for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it with cooking spray.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, soy sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
  3. Place the salmon fillet, skin side down, on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the marinade evenly over the top of the salmon.
  4. Arrange lemon slices on top of the salmon for added flavor and decoration.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
  6. Remove from the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh dill if desired.

Notes

  • For a festive touch, add a sprinkle of pomegranate seeds on top before serving.
  • Substitute maple syrup for brown sugar for a different flavor profile.
