Ingredients
Scale
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1 pound ground beef
1 packet taco seasoning
1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
1/2 cup salsa
1/4 cup chopped green onions
1/4 cup sour cream (for serving)
Cooking spray
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375°F.
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat.
Stir in the taco seasoning and 1/4 cup of water. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the mixture thickens. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
On a clean surface, unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles.
Spread a spoonful of the beef mixture onto the wide end of each triangle. Top with a sprinkle of cheddar and mozzarella cheese, and a small spoonful of salsa.
Starting from the wide end, roll each triangle up tightly and place them seam-side down on a greased baking sheet.
Spray the tops lightly with cooking spray and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes. Garnish with chopped green onions and serve with sour cream on the side.
Notes
For a spicier kick, add diced jalapeños to the beef mixture.
For a vegetarian option, substitute the ground beef with black beans or lentils and add extra veggies like bell peppers or corn.
