- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 small onion, diced
- 1 small green bell pepper, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup ketchup
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon mustard
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 8 ounces spaghetti
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 4 hamburger buns
- In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat.
- Add the diced onion, green bell pepper, and minced garlic to the skillet. Sauté until the vegetables are tender, about 3-4 minutes.
- Stir in the ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Meanwhile, cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Add the cooked spaghetti to the meat mixture and stir until well combined.
- Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the top and cover the skillet until the cheese melts, about 2-3 minutes.
- Serve the cheesy spaghetti sloppy joes on hamburger buns.
Notes
- For a spicy kick, add diced jalapeños or a dash of hot sauce to the meat mixture.
- Substitute ground turkey or chicken for a leaner option.
- You can also use whole wheat spaghetti for added fiber.
