A fun and delicious twist on traditional sloppy joes, combining cheesy spaghetti with savory ground beef.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 small green bell pepper, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 ounces spaghetti
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 4 hamburger buns

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat.
  2. Add the diced onion, green bell pepper, and minced garlic to the skillet. Sauté until the vegetables are tender, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Stir in the ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Meanwhile, cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  5. Add the cooked spaghetti to the meat mixture and stir until well combined.
  6. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the top and cover the skillet until the cheese melts, about 2-3 minutes.
  7. Serve the cheesy spaghetti sloppy joes on hamburger buns.

Notes

  • For a spicy kick, add diced jalapeños or a dash of hot sauce to the meat mixture.
  • Substitute ground turkey or chicken for a leaner option.
  • You can also use whole wheat spaghetti for added fiber.
