Ingredients
Scale
1 pound ground beef
1 cup breadcrumbs
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
1 large egg
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 jar (24 ounces) marinara sauce
8 ounces mozzarella cheese, shredded
1 package (8 ounces) crescent roll dough
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 375°F.
In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, egg, garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
Form the mixture into 12 meatballs.
In a skillet over medium heat, brown the meatballs on all sides for about 5-7 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.
Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish.
Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles.
Place a meatball at the wide end of each triangle, top with a tablespoon of marinara sauce and a sprinkle of mozzarella cheese.
Roll up the dough around the meatball, tucking in the sides as you go.
Place the roll-ups seam side down in the baking dish.
Pour the remaining marinara sauce over the top and sprinkle with the remaining mozzarella cheese.
Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
For a spicy kick, add crushed red pepper flakes to the meatball mixture.
You can substitute ground turkey or chicken for a lighter option.
For a vegetarian version, use plant-based meat substitutes and cheese alternatives.
