Cheesy Meatball Roll-Ups are a delicious and easy-to-make dish that combines savory meatballs with gooey cheese, all wrapped in flaky crescent roll dough.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 jar (24 ounces) marinara sauce
  • 8 ounces mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1 package (8 ounces) crescent roll dough

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, egg, garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. Form the mixture into 12 meatballs.
  4. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the meatballs on all sides for about 5-7 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.
  5. Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  6. Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles.
  7. Place a meatball at the wide end of each triangle, top with a tablespoon of marinara sauce and a sprinkle of mozzarella cheese.
  8. Roll up the dough around the meatball, tucking in the sides as you go.
  9. Place the roll-ups seam side down in the baking dish.
  10. Pour the remaining marinara sauce over the top and sprinkle with the remaining mozzarella cheese.
  11. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
  12. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For a spicy kick, add crushed red pepper flakes to the meatball mixture.
  • You can substitute ground turkey or chicken for a lighter option.
  • For a vegetarian version, use plant-based meat substitutes and cheese alternatives.
