Ingredients
Scale
2 bone-in pork chops (about 1 inch thick)
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, and rosemary.
In a large oven-safe skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the pork chops and sear for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
Remove the skillet from heat and sprinkle the mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses evenly over the pork chops.
Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the pork chops reach an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
Remove from the oven and let the pork chops rest for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh parsley.
Notes
For added flavor, marinate the pork chops in olive oil, garlic, and herbs for 1-2 hours before cooking.
Try using different cheeses like cheddar or gouda for a unique twist on the flavor.
