2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
2 cups broccoli florets (fresh or frozen)
1 cup cooked white rice
1 can (10.5 ounces) cream of chicken soup
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup milk
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup breadcrumbs (optional for topping)
2 tablespoons melted butter (optional for topping)
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, broccoli florets, cooked rice, cream of chicken soup, cheddar cheese, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly coated.
Transfer the mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish, spreading it out evenly.
If using, mix the breadcrumbs with melted butter in a small bowl and sprinkle evenly over the casserole.
Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the casserole is bubbly and the top is golden brown.
Remove from the oven and let it cool for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
For added flavor, consider mixing in a teaspoon of dried herbs like thyme or oregano.
You can substitute the chicken with cooked turkey or even a can of tuna for a different twist.
