Ingredients
Scale
1 pound ground beef
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
Salt and pepper to taste
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup shredded lettuce
1 medium tomato, diced
1 package (14 oz) egg roll wrappers
Oil for frying
Dipping sauce of your choice (ketchup, mustard, or special sauce)
Instructions
In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat.
Stir in garlic powder, onion powder, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Cook for an additional 2 minutes to combine flavors.
Remove the skillet from heat and let the mixture cool slightly. Stir in the cheddar cheese until melted and well combined.
Lay an egg roll wrapper on a clean surface with one corner pointing towards you. Place about 2 tablespoons of the beef mixture in the center of the wrapper.
Fold the bottom corner over the filling, then fold in the sides and roll tightly to seal. Use a little water on the edges to help seal the wrapper. Repeat with remaining wrappers and filling.
Heat oil in a deep skillet or fryer to 350°F. Fry the egg rolls in batches for about 3-4 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Drain on paper towels.
Serve warm with your choice of dipping sauce.
Notes
For a healthier option, bake the egg rolls at 400°F for 15-20 minutes, flipping halfway through until golden brown.
Try adding diced pickles or cooked bacon to the beef mixture for extra flavor.
