Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups cooked seafood mix (shrimp, crab, and scallops)
  • 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables (peas, carrots, corn)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup chicken or seafood broth
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 package (8.5 oz) Cheddar Bay Biscuit mix
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add diced onion and sauté until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Stir in the flour, garlic powder, Old Bay seasoning, salt, and black pepper, cooking for another minute.
  4. Gradually whisk in the chicken or seafood broth and heavy cream, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens, about 5-7 minutes.
  5. Add the cooked seafood and frozen mixed vegetables, mixing well. Remove from heat and set aside.
  6. In a separate bowl, prepare the Cheddar Bay Biscuit mix according to package instructions, adding shredded cheddar cheese and milk.
  7. Pour the seafood mixture into a greased 9-inch pie dish.
  8. Drop spoonfuls of the biscuit dough over the top of the seafood filling, covering it as evenly as possible.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown and cooked through.
  10. Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the seafood mixture.
  • You can substitute the seafood with cooked chicken or vegetables for a different flavor profile.
