Delicious caramel apple blondies that combine the flavors of caramel and apple in a soft, chewy dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chopped apples (about 1 medium apple)
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce (plus extra for drizzling)
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar, mixing until smooth.
  4. Add the eggs and vanilla extract to the butter mixture, stirring until well combined.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chopped apples and caramel sauce until evenly distributed.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  9. Allow the blondies to cool in the pan for about 15 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  10. Drizzle additional caramel sauce over the top before slicing into squares.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, try adding 1/2 cup of chopped nuts, such as walnuts or pecans, to the batter.
  • To make these blondies even more decadent, top them with a scoop of vanilla ice cream when serving.
