Ingredients
Scale
2 (6-ounce) salmon fillets
1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon unsalted butter
2 tablespoons honey
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
Salt and pepper to taste
Chopped fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it with cooking spray.
Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels and season both sides with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper.
In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Once melted, stir in the honey and lemon juice until well combined. Remove from heat.
Place the seasoned salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet. Drizzle the honey butter mixture over the top of each fillet.
Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
Remove from the oven and let it rest for a couple of minutes. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
Notes
For extra flavor, marinate the salmon in the Cajun seasoning and olive oil for 30 minutes before cooking.
Try substituting the honey with maple syrup for a different sweetness profile.
