Indulge in these delightful Blueberry Cheesecake Rolls, a perfect blend of creamy cheesecake and fresh blueberries wrapped in a soft dough.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • Additional powdered sugar for dusting (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Add the softened butter, milk, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Mix until a soft dough forms.
  4. Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead gently for about 1 minute until smooth.
  5. Roll the dough into a rectangle, approximately 12×8 inches.
  6. In a separate bowl, beat together the cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth. Stir in the blueberries and lemon juice.
  7. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the rolled-out dough.
  8. Starting from one long side, carefully roll the dough into a log. Pinch the seams to seal.
  9. Slice the log into 1-inch thick rolls and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  10. Brush the tops of the rolls with the beaten egg.
  11. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  12. Allow the rolls to cool slightly before dusting with powdered sugar, if desired.

Notes

  • For a twist, try adding a teaspoon of cinnamon to the cream cheese mixture for a spiced flavor.
  • You can also substitute the blueberries with raspberries or strawberries for a different berry cheesecake experience.
