A quick and delicious Beef Stir Fry with a sweet and spicy honey and black pepper sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced (any color)
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1 cup snap peas
  • 3 green onions, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup water

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, black pepper, cornstarch, and water until smooth. Set aside.
  2. In a large skillet or wok, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the sliced beef and cook for about 3-4 minutes until browned. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add bell pepper, broccoli, snap peas, green onions, garlic, and ginger. Stir-fry for about 3-5 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
  5. Return the beef to the skillet and pour the sauce over the mixture. Stir well to combine and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens and everything is heated through.
  6. Serve immediately over cooked rice or noodles.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, add red pepper flakes or sliced jalapeños to the stir-fry.
  • You can substitute the beef with chicken, shrimp, or tofu for a different protein option.
