Ingredients
Scale
1 pound wide rice noodles
8 ounces flank steak, thinly sliced
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon oyster sauce
1 tablespoon cornstarch
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup bean sprouts
1 cup sliced bell peppers (red and green)
1 cup sliced onions
2 green onions, chopped
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Cook the wide rice noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
In a bowl, combine the sliced flank steak with soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch. Mix well and let it marinate for about 15 minutes.
Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef and stir-fry for about 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil. Add minced garlic, sliced onions, and bell peppers. Stir-fry for about 2-3 minutes until the vegetables are tender.
Add the cooked rice noodles and beef back into the skillet. Toss everything together and stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes until heated through.
Stir in the bean sprouts and chopped green onions. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Cook for an additional minute.
Serve hot and enjoy your Beef Chow Fun!
Notes
For a spicier version, add sliced jalapeños or a dash of chili oil during cooking.
You can substitute the flank steak with chicken or tofu for a different protein option.
