Ingredients
Scale
1 cup heavy whipping cream
1 cup sweetened condensed milk
2 ripe bananas, sliced
1 cup graham cracker crumbs
1/2 cup chocolate shavings or cocoa powder (for garnish)
1/4 cup caramel sauce (optional)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
In a mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form. Add the sweetened condensed milk and vanilla extract, then continue to whip until well combined and slightly thickened.
In serving glasses or bowls, layer the graham cracker crumbs at the bottom.
Add a layer of sliced bananas on top of the graham cracker crumbs.
Spoon a layer of the whipped cream mixture over the bananas.
Repeat the layers until the glasses are filled, finishing with a layer of whipped cream on top.
Drizzle caramel sauce over the top if desired, and sprinkle with chocolate shavings or cocoa powder for garnish.
Chill the trifles in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving to allow the flavors to meld.
Notes
For a chocolate twist, use chocolate graham crackers instead of regular ones.
Add a layer of crushed toffee candies for extra crunch and flavor.
