A delicious and easy-to-make dessert combining the flavors of banana pudding and Rice Krispie treats.

  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 package (10 oz) mini marshmallows
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • 1 cup banana pudding mix (instant)
  • 1 cup sliced bananas (fresh)
  • 1 cup whipped topping (thawed)
  • 1/2 cup crushed vanilla wafers

Instructions

  1. In a large saucepan, melt the butter over low heat.
  2. Add the mini marshmallows and stir continuously until completely melted and smooth.
  3. Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the vanilla extract and banana pudding mix until well combined.
  4. Gradually add the Rice Krispies cereal to the marshmallow mixture, stirring until evenly coated.
  5. Gently fold in the sliced bananas and whipped topping until just combined.
  6. Press the mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish, spreading it evenly.
  7. Sprinkle the crushed vanilla wafers on top and lightly press them into the mixture.
  8. Allow the treats to cool at room temperature for about 30 minutes before cutting into squares.

Notes

  • For a chocolate twist, add 1/2 cup of mini chocolate chips to the mixture before pressing it into the pan.
  • For a more intense banana flavor, use banana-flavored marshmallows or add a few drops of banana extract to the melted marshmallow mixture.
