Ingredients
Scale
1 pound chicken tenders
8 slices bacon
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil for easy cleanup.
In a large bowl, combine the brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, black pepper, and salt. Mix well to create a dry rub.
Wrap each chicken tender with a slice of bacon, securing the ends with toothpicks if necessary.
Coat each bacon-wrapped chicken tender in the brown sugar mixture, ensuring they are evenly covered.
Place the coated chicken tenders on the prepared baking sheet. Drizzle olive oil over the top to help with crisping.
Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the bacon is crispy.
Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
For extra flavor, try adding a teaspoon of cayenne pepper to the brown sugar mixture for a spicy kick.
You can substitute turkey bacon for a lighter option while still enjoying the sweet and savory combination.
