- 2 cups crushed pretzels
- 3/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 cup whipped topping (like Cool Whip)
- 2 cups diced apples (about 2 medium apples)
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar (for the apple mixture)
- 1 cup apple juice
- 1 package (3 ounces) instant vanilla pudding mix
- 2 cups milk
- Preheat your oven to 350°F.
- In a medium bowl, combine crushed pretzels, melted butter, and 1/4 cup granulated sugar. Mix until well combined.
- Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish to form a crust.
- Bake for 10 minutes, then remove and let cool completely.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
- Gently fold in the whipped topping until fully incorporated.
- Spread this mixture over the cooled pretzel crust.
- In another bowl, combine diced apples, 1/2 cup granulated sugar, and ground cinnamon. Stir to coat the apples evenly.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the apple juice, instant vanilla pudding mix, and milk until smooth and thickened.
- Fold the apple mixture into the pudding mixture until well combined.
- Pour this over the cream cheese layer in the baking dish.
- Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight, to allow the flavors to meld and the salad to set.
- Serve chilled and enjoy!
Notes
- For a crunchier texture, consider adding chopped nuts like walnuts or pecans to the apple mixture.
- You can also substitute the apples with diced pears or peaches for a different flavor profile.
