Air Fryer Pizza Dogs are a quick and tasty treat that combines hot dogs, mozzarella cheese, and pepperoni wrapped in crescent roll dough, cooked to perfection in an air fryer.

Ingredients

  • 4 hot dogs
  • 4 slices of mozzarella cheese
  • 4 slices of pepperoni
  • 1 package (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F.
  2. Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into 4 triangles.
  3. Place a slice of mozzarella cheese and a slice of pepperoni on each triangle of dough.
  4. Place a hot dog at the wide end of each triangle and roll it up, enclosing the cheese and pepperoni.
  5. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray.
  6. Place the rolled pizza dogs in the basket, making sure they are not touching.
  7. Cook in the air fryer for 8-10 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown and crispy.
  8. While the pizza dogs are cooking, heat the pizza sauce in a small saucepan over low heat.
  9. Once cooked, remove the pizza dogs from the air fryer and serve with warm pizza sauce for dipping.

Notes

  • For a spicy kick, add sliced jalapeños or crushed red pepper flakes inside the dough with the cheese and pepperoni.
  • Try using different types of cheese, such as cheddar or pepper jack, for a unique flavor twist.
